On-Call Kitchen Steward/Dishwashers
Aloha! Our Hospitality division is growing and we are looking for On-Call Kitchen Steward/Dishwashers to join our team for upcoming events. This position is On-Call as it is based on when there are events, so it is perfect for those who are already working and looking for flexible work.
The On-Call Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher assists in all back of the house Kitchen operations for one of the largest state-of-the-art kitchens in Hawaii. They handle volume events and the work is very labor intensive.
Schedule: On-Call based on events
Pay: $18.04 per hour
Location: Ala Moana/Waikiki
Job Responsibilities:
- Load and unload carts, pushing, pulling large hotboxes and heavy carts to functions
- Load and unload commercial size dishwashers
- Break down events manually and load onto carts
- Maintain clean kitchen, properly wash and sort soiled dishes
- Prep food as needed
- Wash, stack and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware and storage containers
- Assist in the timely storing of food deliveries
- Follow assigned daily dish cleaning duties
- Assist in food prep and any other duties as needed
Job Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Wear black non-slip shoes
- Able to adapt and take directions
- Load and unload heavy equipment (up to 50lbs) and deliver to event rooms
- Comfortable with labor duties including: standing, walking, push, pull, lifting, kneeling
- Must report to work on time
