Law and Motion Attorney

Role Description

Moran Law has an immediate open position for a Law and Motion Attorney. The primary duties will include legal research, drafting motions, oppositions, ex parte applications, pre-trial and post-trial motions. Attorney may also assist in drafting Complaints and discovery.

Types of motions attorney will work on:

Opposition to Petition to Compel Arbitration
Opposition to Demurrer and Motion to Strike
Oppositions to Motions for Summary Judgment
Motions to Compel Discovery or Deposition
Motions in Limine
Ex Parte Applications

Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in law and motion practice
Experience in medical malpractice
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Admission to the California State Bar
Experience in elder abuse and nursing home neglect is a plus
Experience in healthcare law is a plus
Bachelor's degree, JD
