Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students in the Philadelphia area as a school-based Physical Therapist. This contract-to-hire position allows you to make a real difference in the lives of K-8 students within a public charter school setting. With a highly manageable schedule of just 1-2 hours per week, this is an ideal way to maintain professional engagement while balancing other commitments.
The school is ready to interview and welcomes an educator-certified PT who brings compassion, expertise, and a collaborative spirit.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapy license/certification
- Educator certification (required)
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with K-8 students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfort working in a team environment with educators and other school professionals
- Commitment to inclusivity and supporting diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct physical therapy services for students in accordance with IEP/504 plans
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support each child’s individualized goals
- Maintain clear, timely documentation on student progress and therapy sessions
- Deliver consultative support and resources to staff and caregivers
- Help facilitate inclusive participation for students with physical challenges within the classroom and school activities
