Law Firm Job Contextual Overview Goodman Acker Law is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its personal injury litigation team in Southfield, MI. This full-time role offers an opportunity to take ownership of personal injury cases, work directly with clients, and develop litigation skills through mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Key Eligibility Criteria J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Michigan law license in good standing. 2+ years of personal injury experience preferred. Strong writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills. Responsibilities & Scope of Work Manage personal injury matters from intake through resolution. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel. Prepare and handle cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial. Maintain responsive communication with clients and manage deadlines effectively.
