We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.A Typical Day Will Include The Following...Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipmentsRecord shipment data, such as freight charges, shortages, damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposesControl and monitor the flow of vendor traffic through the receiving doorsConfer and correspond with vendor representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages and short datesDeliver or route materials to departments, using hand trucks, pallet jacks & tier stackersPack and prepare materials for shipping to other locations or for return to vendorHandle damaged and spoil products according to company policyMaintain the organization & cleanliness of the receiving area & backroomMaintain close communication with all department managers and vendorsKeep current on industry trends, standards and changesEnsure the dissemination and adherence to all company and department policiesMaintain adherence to sustainability programs and all security and safety policiesHandle special orders for the grocery departmentAdhere to waste management and recycling proceduresOperate within the Company's Core Values and Company BrandThis Job Might Be For You If ...Minimum 2 years grocery experienceFlexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidaysAbility to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with othersStrong organizational skillsAbility to learn, teach and train others in receiving processesKnowledge of using a PC for data entryExcellent verbal, written communication skills (including spelling, grammar and industry language)Ability to effectively manage time and follow ordersDisplay excellent work ethicExcellent customer skills, and the ability to work independentlyAbility to lift 50 lbs. repetitivelyAbility to have full body mobility (bending, stooping twisting,& reaching)Exemplify health department standardsAbility to work with a diverse group of customers, co-workers & vendorsMust possess a strong desire to work in a fast paced environment, be enthusiastic, and exude a positive attitudeTeam player with good follow through and people skillsPossess both attention to detail and a sense of urgencyMust be 18 years of age or olderEntry Level CompensationUSD $27.10/Hr.Maximum CompensationUSD $27.10/Hr.* Maximum CompensationLegacy JP pay if applicable/eligible
