You will oversee complex accounting areas, strengthen accounting processes and internal controls, develop team capabilities, and partner across Finance and the broader organization to deliver meaningful financial analysis. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.What we doThe Accounting team is part of the Finance organization, which is a critical financial business partner for the Company. Internal revenue e functions include General Ledger Accounting (GL), Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Internal Audit, Revenue, and FP&A. Our Finance team is a trusted source of financial information and guidance for our internal customers, partners, customers, suppliers, regulators, and stakeholders. What you’ll doDirectly supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the GL accounting team in key areas such as expense accruals, complex intercompany, and stock-based compensationManage the month-end financial close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the financial statements, including preparation of complex accounting journal entries, complex accounts reconciliation, and review of journal entries prepared by accounting team membersPrepare and conduct quarterly balance sheet reviews with Finance leadershipAnalyze accruals balances and roll forwards to identify trends, address internal control considerations, and communicate risks and opportunities to business partnersSupport the Finance organization through the development of data analytics and forecast to actuals walksLead critical SOX control activities, including transactional testing of goods receipts and accrualsAct as central point-of-contact for internal and external audit queriesEnsure proper application of US GAAP and industry reporting requirementsLead various GL projects (i.e., new system implementation, month-end close process streamlines, etc.)What you’ll need ​Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business Administration) with relevant experience.Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, minimum 3 years of direct management experiencePrior direct or functional management experience requiredPublic accounting experience or experience working with external auditorsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessaryEffective leader with excellent oral and written communicationAbility to be self-motivated, proactive, and a team playerSAP experienceHigh attention to detail required in managing analytical tasksHybrid role based in Wilmington, MA (3 days a week)Our EnvironmentUp to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. Employees may be required to use a personal credit card for business travel expenses, which are reimbursed based on the program guidelines. The base range for this position in the posted location is $150,000.00 - $206,800.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
