This role can be based out of any of the following Arcadis offices: Baton Rouge, LA or Metairie, LA.We are looking for a candidate with experience ranging from concept level planning to the preparation of detailed engineering designs and construction specifications for municipal drainage and water/wastewater infrastructure projects. Project examples for this role may include condition assessments, rehabilitation and/or new construction of open channel and subsurface drainage collection systems, drainage pumping stations, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and sanitary sewer lift stations. There will be a focus on system hydraulic design, project layout, geometrics, and survey control; grading and drainage design; and subsurface utility coordination and relocation.Role accountabilities:As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a design team in the preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, design drawings, contract specifications and using guidelines from federal, state, regional, and municipal agencies and overseeing the preparation of construction quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates. You will have the ability to think in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner to deliver the very best solutions to our clients.Other responsibilities include: Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor.Navigate local and state permitting requirements to obtain regulatory approvals. Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior level staff.Work directly with clients to identify needs, develop solutions, and grow relationships with target clients.Qualifications & Experience:Required Qualifications8 years or more of relevant experienceBS degree in Civil EngineeringPE License in LouisianaKey Skills/Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and related drainage/water systems design tools.Client-facing experience and ability to develop contacts and relationships.Ability to produce quality materials on schedule while managing multiple projects.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
