\n \nJob Purpose
\n- \n
- The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. The SANE exam may include a medical-forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. \n

- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing- BSN preferred \n
Licenses and/or Certifications:
\n \n- \n
- Valid and Current Texas RN license. \n
- Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification from the Texas Attorney General office or \n
- Currently in-progress of certification and obtained within 6 months of hire \n
- Current TNCC, or required within 6 months of hire \n
Work Experience:
\n \n- \n
- Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care Experience, preferred \n
