AIX Systems Administrator

Seeking an experienced AIX Administrator to join our team. As a AIX Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the AIX-based infrastructure. Your role will involve overseeing system administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring the stability and security of our AIX environment.Specific Responsibilities:Administer and maintain the AIX-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch managementMonitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure performance and reliabilityTroubleshoot and resolve issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams when necessary, and maintain security measures to protect servers and infrastructurePerform backups, restores, server upgrades and maintenance, and AIX performance tuningManage project teams with relevancy and background in IBM AIX environmentsManage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and ensure adherence to security policiesRequired:At least 7 years of experience in the related fieldActive Secret clearance and ability to obtain DHS SuitabilityDue to federal requirements, all candidates must be US Citizens without Dual Citizenship to another countryThis is an on-site position at a government facilityRequires presence on-site five days per week in Annapolis Junction, MDCandidates must reside within a commutable distanceParticipation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is requiredCertified IBM AIX Certified System Administrator desiredEEO Employer:RELI Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
