Position Medical Science Liaison, Camzyos – Field (DC, DE, MD, VA) Job Overview The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for identifying disease- and product-related medical needs within a defined geography, developing and maintaining relationships with thought leaders (TLs), healthcare providers (HCPs), and access stakeholders, and providing scientific support, insights, and education to internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities External Environment and Customer Focus Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR-related questions. Use various interaction channels (1:1, group presentations, remote, etc.). Demonstrate proficiency in scientific resources and presentations. Present information to TL/HCPs with medical accuracy and compliance, responding to questions. Assess the medical landscape and understand the needs and expertise of TL/HCPs/Access Stakeholders. Continuously update knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, HEC outcomes research, and scientific activities. Understand the competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models to address customers’ informational needs. Identify opportunities to partner with HCPs on disease-state initiatives, collaborative research projects, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR). Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings. Collect and provide meaningful medical insights to medical and commercial organizations to support strategy development and business decisions. Contribute to the Medical Plan Develop geography-specific Field Medical and TL interaction plans based on therapeutic area objectives and TL needs. Adopt an institution/account planning approach and contribute to cross‑functional institution/account plans. Contribute to the development and delivery of scientifically meaningful medical programs/projects in line with the local Medical and Field Medical plan. Provide Medical Support Establish a customer‑centric, compliant collaboration with cross‑matrix field teams within the assigned geography. Support initial and ongoing medical/scientific area and product-specific training and provide key scientific updates to internal stakeholders (Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, HEOR, Value Access & Payment). Provide scientific support at promotional meetings by presenting scientific and clinical data, evaluating speakers, and supporting BMS‑contracted speakers (if applicable). Participate in assigned congress activities. Support Clinical Trial Activities Support interventional and non‑interventional research studies (e.g., identification and assessment of potential study sites) to facilitate patient recruitment and safe use of BMS investigational products. Provide recommendations and insights to the clinical development team on study and site feasibilities within the therapeutic area. Support HCPs in ISR submission and execution processes and study follow‑up. Ensure BMS Pharmacovigilance procedural documents are understood and applied by investigators of local studies, alerting appropriate BMS personnel to identified adverse events. Actively support CRO‑sponsored studies as agreed with home‑office medical and GDO. Position Requirements MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in a specific disease area or broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience. Knowledge of scientific publications, competitive landscape, patient treatment trends, and clinical trial design and process. Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment and HEOR core concepts. Excellent English language skills, spoken and written. Experience Desired Minimum of 2 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment. Prior MSL experience. Ability to work independently and as a team player. Translate scientific or clinical data into an understandable and valuable form for physicians. Good communication and presentation skills for scientific/clinical data to research or healthcare professionals. Develop peer‑to‑peer relationships with TLs, scientists, and other healthcare professionals. Rapid and comprehensive learning of new subject areas and environments. Demonstration of BMS values. Essential Qualification Ability to drive a BMS‑provided vehicle between locations and maintain a clean driving record. High level of ethics, integrity, and safe driving history. Travel Requirement Travel required; majority of time in the field with external customers. MSL must live within or within 50 miles of the territory. Additional requirements based on territory assignment and team needs. Compensation Overview Field – United States – US: $166,090 – $201,262 (full-time, FTE).
