job description & responsibilities

this position focuses on sales and client relations. start to finish execution. the role combines revenue generation, proposal development, event logistics, and on-site leadership. as a primary client-facing representative of the brand, the catering coordinator also serves as an internal connector across kitchen, beverage, operations, staffing, and our clients. .

the position is both strategic and hands-on to service mostly corporate clients along with our pick up and delivery services. 

this role is integral to the success and growth of black radish kitchen.

primary responsibilities - sales & communication

• respond to sales leads and inquiries on a daily basis.
\n
• maintain consistent, professional communication with prospective and current clients
\n
• communicate inventory needs directly to the operations manager.
\n
• convey menu selections, dietary restrictions, and updates to the kitchen manager.
\n
• coordinate event staffing requirements with the operations manager.
\n
• utilize tripleseat to update team members promptly regarding evolving client specifications.
\n
• participate regularly in weekly sales, operations, and event sheet review meetings.
\n
• draft event proposals to client needs in timely manner.
\n
• uphold pricing, service standards, and event timelines for operational efficiency.
\n
• confirm final event details with lead staff members 48 hours prior to event execution.
\n
• maintain deadlines for head counts, billing, menu changes and renal orders as needed
\n
• assist operations to execute events on weekdays.
\n

client experience & relationship building

• serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the entire planning process.
\n
• translate client vision into clear, executable event plans with confidence.
\n
• foster and maintain strong working relationships with repeat clients, non-profit organizations, and our corporate partners.
\n
• represent black radish kitchen's core values of hospitality, inclusivity, and community-centered service

compensation & hours

\n
• this is a 20–25 hour per week position, with potential for expanded hours based on business needs.
\n
• office hours will be sunday to thursday. 
\n
• the compensation and schedule are divided into two main components:
\n
• office hours / sales administration: daytime office work compensated starting at $25 per hour depending on experience.
\n
• event execution: opportunity to work additional hours on-site during events, subject to event schedule and candidate availability. compensation varies upon event. base pay per event is 150.00
