Senior Radiation Test Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Radiation Test Engineer to support our customers within the Strategic Microelectronics Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane. Position Responsibilities Support engineering decisions based on radiation effects on overall system performance. Design and harden systems across multiple radiation effects, including dose rate, total ionizing dose (TID), neutron displacement damage (NDD), and single event effects (SEE). Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure radiation hardening is maintained across the product life‑cycle. Assist in test plan development and review. Participate in Radiation Review Boards and help generate templates and guides. Assist in developing training materials and tools for new hires. Assist with testing efforts, test station setup and validation, and verification efforts. Collaborate on program requirements and provide feedback on approach to meet requirements. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or other relevant field. 10+ years of Radiation Engineering or related experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Preferred Requirements Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering. 10+ years of radiation engineering experience with the Department of Defense. Current Secret or Top‑Secret DoD security clearance. Compensation Details $120k–$180k annually. The compensation range listed is a good‑faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
