Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) We are seeking a 737NG/MAX Deputy Fleet Chief (Senior or Principal) to support the Customer Support team in Seal Beach, California. Primary Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with aircraft owner/operators. Advocate and develop highly innovative solutions for complex customer issues, concerns, and requirements with the Fleet Chief and other Boeing internal organizations (be the “voice of the customer”). Provide senior technical oversight to the 737NG/MAX Fleet Team; develop solutions for items raised on the Fleet Team Idea Exchange (FIX) bulletin board, and lead Fleet Team meetings and follow‑up of open items. Attend and chair technical and customer support boards and meetings such as the Technical Design, Change, Fleet Team Integration, Customer Support Review Board (CSRB), Safety Review Board (SRB), Fleet Support Review Board (FSRB), and Service Related Problem (SRP) meetings. Maintain good relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers, including Supplier Management, Warranty, Fleet Support Engineering, Design Engineering and Material Management. Respond quickly to meet significant customer needs and resolve complex problems with innovative solutions, acting as a senior technical consultant to senior leadership. Maintain expert level awareness of fleet, industry and regulatory issues. Provide senior technical consultation to, and/or represent the Fleet Chief in, executive and technical review meetings and regional technical conferences as required. International and/or domestic travel is required: be able to travel to aircraft owner/operators to support technical/executive review meetings and discuss timely resolution of issues. Basic Qualifications (Required) Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science. 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Willingness to support a 24/7/365 customer support role. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time. Preferred Qualifications (Desired) LEVEL 5: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 8+ years of experience working with airline customers. 5+ years of experience leading efforts to resolve technical issues. Experience leading cross‑functional teams or projects. Experience providing briefings to senior and/or executive level management. Experience working with Suppliers and organizational leaders to develop and implement plans and objectives. Experience working in Customer Support. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Pay and Benefits Base pay and variable compensation opportunities are competitive. Pay is based on experience and qualifications. Summary Pay Range Senior (Level 4): $146,200 – $197,800. Summary Pay Range Principal (Level 5): $176,800 – $239,200.
