Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer

Dewberry's Raleigh, NC office is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to support site/civil and utility engineering functions on projects throughout North Carolina. This role works in a multidisciplinary team with designers, landscape architects, and professional engineers to prepare construction drawings. Clients may include universities, local and federal government, municipalities, and private land developers. Responsibilities Civil/Site development including grading design, roadway design, stormwater management systems design, sanitary sewer design, water design, and erosion and sediment control design. Collaborate with a Professional Engineer to prepare all associated drawing packages, deliverables, calculations, reports, and spreadsheets. Work on design teams with other disciplines to achieve project goals and deadlines. Maintain strong communication and technical skills using AutoCAD, Civil3D, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam. Learn and apply Dewberry engineering practices, standards, and quality reviews of assigned tasks. Qualifications / Requirements BS degree in Civil Engineering. EIT required. 0‑2 years of design experience related to site development projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D. Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet project deadlines. Strong written communication skills – technical reports, permits, memoranda and email.
