Insurance Account Manager

Job Description

This insurance company is looking for an Account Manager to join their team and serve as the primary point of contact for retail agents utilizing their digital insurance platform. This person will focus on agent activation, platform adoption, and relationship management rather than sales, acting as a trusted advisor who coaches clients on how and when to leverage the platform. On a daily basis, they will conduct demos, train users, review books of business, identify submission opportunities, and help agents maximize value from the platform. They will partner closely with Product and Technology teams to resolve more complex issues while maintaining ownership of the client relationship. Additionally, this individual will proactively engage inactive users, gather client feedback, and bring insights back to the business to improve the overall user experience and increase submission volume. An excellent candidate will have experience supporting a digital insurance platform, working with retail agents, driving client engagement, and building long-term customer relationships.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or a client-facing Sales role

Experience supporting or managing relationships within a digital insurance platform environment

Strong understanding of online platform functionality, adoption, and user engagement

Experience working directly with retail insurance agents

Ability to deliver product demos, user training, and ongoing client support

Strong relationship management and communication skills

Ability to manage client expectations and serve as the primary point of contact

Proven experience driving utilization, activation, and customer engagement metrics Commercial E&S insurance experience

Knowledge of General Liability, Property, and/or Excess lines

Experience with an MGA that has a strong digital or online platform presence

Background working in wholesale insurance environments

Experience increasing platform adoption and submission volume

Prior experience as an Account Manager or Customer Success professional supporting an insurtech, cyber insurance platform, or digital wholesaler

Ability to evaluate books of business and identify opportunities that fit platform capabilities
