Description

American Traveler is hiring an Oncology Infusion RN with a CO or compact RN license, OCN certification, and chemotherapy experience for an outpatient infusion center.

Details

• Outpatient hospital-based infusion center serving oncology patients in a rural community hospital
• Provides direct patient care including chemotherapy administration, infusion therapy, patient monitoring, and education
• Performs IV starts, port access, and central line care
• Operates infusion pumps and monitors infusion therapy
• Documents care using Cerner EMR
• Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 40 hours per week
• Occasional Friday coverage may be requested if needed
• No weekend, holiday, or call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (Colorado or compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
• Current OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Outpatient infusion experience preferred
• Port/PICC access experience preferred
• Experience administering chemotherapy preferred
• Experience working in an oncology infusion clinic preferred

Additional Information

• Coordinates care with oncology providers and interdisciplinary team members
• Assists with treatment preparation and chart review
• Ensures appropriate lab orders, treatment verification, and insurance authorization
• Supports oncology providers and infusion clinic operations
• Performs patient assessments, vital signs, and treatment monitoring
