CNC Set Up Machinist

JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines to produce precision components - Select and verify appropriate tooling and fixtures for machine setups - Adjust tool and work offsets as needed - Make program edits to improve efficiency, productivity, and part quality - Read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, shop travelers, quality standards, and bills of material - Monitor, inspect, and document part quality according to print and production requirements - Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial bore gauges, and other hand measuring instruments - Apply basic working knowledge of G and M codes - Maintain proper machine fluid levels and perform minor machine maintenance - Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and safe - Work independently while communicating effectively and collaborating with the team - Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and workmanship ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum 3 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines - Experience with Fanuc controls preferred - Auto bar feeder experience is a plus - Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation - Basic knowledge of G and M codes - Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial bore gauges, other precision inspection equipment - Ability to edit CNC programs as needed - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Effective communication and teamwork skills - Dependable, positive, and solutions-focused approach - Will be tested on measurement and inspection skills during the interview ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: View email address on click.appcast.io Apply Online: This position is listed by a private employment agency.
