About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801!

• Provide direct nursing care to adult med-surg/telemetry patients on a 34-bed unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:4-6 on day shift
• Perform continuous telemetry rhythm monitoring and apply critical thinking to assess changes in patient acuity
• Communicate effectively with the Charge RN, Rapid Response team, and providers when patient condition changes
• Administer IV fluids, IV antibiotics, tube feeds, and PEG feedings as ordered
• Attend shift huddles at the start of each shift and adhere to unit clock-in/clock-out policies for meal breaks
• Float to other med-surg units and occasionally to the ED holding pod as needed

• Active RN license (applicable to the state of practice)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Demonstrated telemetry rhythm interpretation skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records; experience with Cerner preferred
• Strong time management, communication, and critical thinking skills

• ACLS certification strongly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a med-surg or telemetry setting
• Ability to function as a team player, supporting CNAs and fellow nursing staff
