Senior Data Scientist - Insurance

Seeking a full-time Senior Data Scientist - Insurance with hands-on experience in P&C or Pet Insurance pricing to lead pricing model development, drive analytical best practices, and serve as a subject matter expert in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Develop, refine, and maintain GLM-based pricing models for rate setting and performance forecasting Manage a portfolio of 2-4 active projects, driving them independently from scoping to completion Conduct exploratory data analysis and translate complex findings into actionable insights for leadership Required qualifications Graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field and 2+ years of experience in a data science role, or 4+ years of progressive experience in analytics At least 1 year of experience in P&C or Pet Insurance pricing, including rate modeling and GLMs Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis Deep understanding of GLMs, regression modeling, and statistical inference Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
