Corporate Financial Analyst (Hospitality Group)

The company concentrates on ownership, development, and construction of commercial real estate. Job Purpose / Summary The Corporate Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating and managing business intelligence tools and performing data analysis for the Hospitality Group, with a specific focus on Hotel Operations, Food and Beverage, and Guest Satisfaction. The Analyst must possess strong analytical and strategic problem‑solving skills, be able to collaborate and take initiative, and balance multiple priorities. This individual reports to the VP of Hotel Performance Support and works closely with corporate and property‑level leadership teams. Essential Job Functions Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of operational and performance data; prepare recurring and executive‑level financial reports. Assist in maintaining Business Intelligence platforms, dashboards, and automated reporting tools to support data‑driven decision‑making. Perform forecasting analysis, including variance reviews, trend identification, and scenario modeling. Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support leadership inquiries and cross‑functional initiatives. Lead the annual budgeting and business planning process, update budgeting systems, prepare company‑wide budget inputs, and review revenue and expense projections. Support the evaluation and underwriting of potential development projects and acquisition opportunities via financial modeling and due diligence. Partner with the hotel performance team to analyze bid comparisons, maintain contract databases, and support vendor selection processes. Manage and administer the Microsoft Teams environment for the Hospitality Group, ensuring efficient collaboration and information governance. Maintain, update, and continuously improve the Hospitality Group Scorecard, ensuring accurate performance tracking and alignment with organizational goals. Complete other duties as assigned. Participate in community and industry organizations that enhance the professional network and benefit the strategic interests of the Hospitality Group. Each six months, goals will be updated to identify major responsibilities for the position. Required Skills and Abilities Previous hotel experience or at least two years of analyst experience (preferred). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with business intelligence software such as IBM Cognos, Business Objects, Tableau, etc. (highly desired). Experience with hotel property management systems such as Opera, Fosse, and OnQ (desirable). Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and process‑improvement skills. Ability to use independent judgment to solve issues. Ability to learn by doing. Strong work ethic, professional focus, and willingness to commit the time needed for success. High level of personal integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Team‑oriented personality; works effectively toward performance goals. Physical: Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis. Required Education / Experience At least two years of hotel or financial analyst experience (preferred). Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or Finance. Core Job Competencies Analysis: Gather, understand, and process critical information. Multi‑task: Organize work to meet deadlines. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements This position is based in an office environment with prolonged sitting at a desk and computer work. Compensation $70,000 - $85,000 a year. Base Pay Information The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education, and certifications. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which also includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans, and more.
