Staff Technical Program Manager

Role Overview The TSE org is critical to Coupang’s business strategy. This role will be responsible for full ownership and end-to-end company-wide charter, delivery, and execution starting from Product & Service Definition, Functional Design, Engineering execution Lifecycle, and Customer lifecycle management for Coupang’s Platform. You will work as part of a global team across different locations, functioning as a centrally connected unit. In Product & Service Definition, you help create design options for features. In Product & Service Design, you mediate scenario-related features and apply design trade‑offs aligned to business requirements. You will also define business and technical requirements, blending strong technical knowledge with business acumen. This role requires a strong blend of technical, business, and project‑management experience to effectively manage tangible solutions. What You Will Do As a Technical Program Manager, you will work closely with members of multiple business and engineering teams to define, streamline, design, and analyze data to build business requirements, then work with engineering teams to articulate requirements, perform functional and technical data & system analysis, and drive engineering to implementation through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate must possess strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively at many levels. Strong functional & technical analytical & design capability to understand common & shared platforms, web & services API with underlying data. Ability to dive deep and come up with new platform scenarios that help solve larger problems via simplifying services & cloud platform to increase productivity & efficiency across engineers and systems. Solid experience with platform, web services, and API technologies. Strong blend of technical, business, and program‑management experience that enables seamless communication across teams, project execution, and great customer reach. Own, manage, and deliver multiple large‑scale, complex programs across organizations with simplicity and team success. Own and manage end‑to‑end implementation from project charter, roadmap, plan, design, build, execute, deliver, monitor performance & adoption. Create, evolve, and communicate specifications for feature areas that enable cohesive, compatible, iterative scenarios spanning multiple feature teams and a durable multi‑year vision. Come up with scenarios and business requirements by analyzing data and business needs. Excellent cross‑group collaboration and communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail. Strong cultural change‑management experience. Identify, propose, and implement ongoing data strategy and drive data quality improvements. Establish, enable and improve systems to manage product feedback from customer stores to solve issues. Review and contribute to ecosystem design. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of engineering program management experience managing feature teams and designing large‑scale or complex technical initiatives on shared platforms for web & web services, API, data analytics. Minimum 5 years of experience in platform, web design, or API reused by internal & external teams. Flexible, agile, and fast learner. Preferred Qualifications Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Excellent cross‑group collaboration and communication skills. Demonstrated virtual team leadership capabilities. Knowledge or experience with agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum). People management experience. Pay & Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is part of your total compensation. The base pay for this position ranges from $155,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $267,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
