Job Overview

Pacific Coast Construction and Waterproofing Inc is seeking an experienced and driven Working Foreman to lead residential and commercial reconstruction and remodeling projects. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with team leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Oversee daily jobsite operations, ensuring alignment with plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Lead the team from the front, providing hands-on mentorship and guidance.
• Manage multiple jobs at different phases, balancing priorities effectively.
• Construction Expertise: Perform hands-on tasks, including framing, building, laying out rafters, stairs, decks, and roof pitch.
• Work directly from blueprints, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Build scaffolding, work at heights, and ensure all team members follow strict safety protocols.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings while maintaining detailed logs.
• Client and Team Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and the management team.
• Be client-facing and articulate, capable of discussing project progress and addressing concerns professionally.
• Resource and Equipment Management: Coordinate materials, labor, and schedules to maintain project efficiency.
• Ensure all tools, materials, and safety equipment are used correctly and available as needed.
• Own a truck to start, with the potential for a company vehicle (ability to pull a trailer is a plus).

Qualifications

• Experience and Skills: Proven experience in reconstruction and remodeling, with expertise in building, framing, and finishing carpentry.
• Knowledge of plans, blueprints, and construction techniques, with the ability to work directly from drawings.
• Experience in finish and cabinet work is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results.
• Exceptional team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor.
• Comfortable conducting safety meetings and ensuring adherence to OSHA standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with clients and stakeholders.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Possess personal carpentry and building tools.
• Comfortable working at heights and with scaffolding and ladders.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday with occasional weekends as needed based on project requirements

Work Location

• Based in the region of Pacific Coast Construction and Waterproofing Inc, with travel to job sites as necessary
