On Call, Call Back Requirements Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days
Weekend Rotation EOW
Holiday Requirements Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements Region 3

Position Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Experience working in an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) setting required
• Must be willing to float within the assigned region and scope of practice

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Required Skills

• Labor management
• Circulating Cesarean sections
• Pre-operative and PACU care
• OB triage
• Newborn resuscitation
• Pitocin administration and management
• Epidural management
• Postpartum and newborn care
• Ability to work in an LDRP environment

Patient Ratios

• Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines:
  • 1:2 – Inactive labor
  • 1:1 – Active labor
  • 1:3–4 – Mother/Baby couplets

EMR & Equipment

• Epic EMR
• Alaris IV pumps
• Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Fetal monitoring equipment

Scheduling

• 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Possibility of low census call with callback requirements
• Up to 6 requested days off may be approved (excluding holidays)

Floating

• Required to float within the assigned region based on patient care needs and within scope of practice.

Orientation

• General hospital orientation
• Department-specific orientation
