Operations Manager

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee various aspects of operations and project management for our organization based in Long Beach, California. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in process improvement, financial oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the seamless execution of operational and asset management initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead projects, streamline procedures, and support the organization's mission through effective management.Responsibilities:• Lead the development and execution of operational strategies to improve efficiency and align with organizational goals.• Oversee multi-phase projects, including housing development and renovation initiatives, ensuring timely completion within budget.• Collaborate closely with finance teams to manage budgets, track financial performance, and ensure fiscal accountability.• Analyze and redesign processes to optimize workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.• Implement and manage technology solutions, such as property management or resident-service platforms, to support organizational needs.• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance and operational excellence.• Foster communication and collaboration across departments, working with leadership teams to ensure alignment and information sharing.• Support grant management and fundraising efforts by contributing to operational planning and execution.• Provide leadership and mentorship to teams, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.• Monitor and report on key performance indicators to evaluate operational success and identify areas for improvement.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.• At least 5 years of experience in operations or project management, preferably within nonprofit, social services, construction, or asset management sectors.• Proven ability to analyze, streamline, and redesign processes for greater efficiency.• Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.• Experience in financial management, including budgeting and tracking financial performance.• Proficiency with technology systems, including property management or resident-service platforms.• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments effectively.• Familiarity with policy development, compliance standards, and operational best practices.Job typePerm
