Savvee Inc. is seeking a network-savvy, problem solver with a passion for secure, high-performance systems to join our team as a Network Engineer to take the lead in configuring, optimizing, and safeguarding our critical infrastructure for our federal client on-site in Norfolk, VA. Essential Functions:

• Operating and managing network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, and transmission media.
• Configuring and optimizing network hubs, routers, and switches.
• Developing and implementing network backup and recovery procedures.
• Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues.
• Installing and maintaining network infrastructure device operating system software.
• Monitoring network capacity and performance.
• Patching network vulnerabilities to safeguard information.
• Testing and maintaining network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.
• Implementing and testing network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans.
• Establishing and maintaining network security practices.
• Analyzing network traffic capacity and performance characteristics.
• Developing and validating network security measures.
• Preparing and maintaining documentation of network configurations and changes.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

Required Education and Training:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
• Certification in one of the following:
• CompTIA Network+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Minimum Experience and Skills Required:

• Four or more years of related work experience
• Proven knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and hands-on experience applying AI solutions
• One must hold an active DoD Secret clearance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A highly motivated self-starter
• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
