Caregiver In Assisted LivingGallaher Signature Living is seeking a full-time Caregiver in Assisted Living to join our team. Through attentive service and genuine compassion, you support residents by promoting dignity, choice, independence, and overall wellbeing.Every interaction—whether assisting with daily routines or offering companionship—reflects our commitment to personalized service, elevated hospitality, and a life lived with comfort, meaning, and joy.Compensation: $19.00-$22.75/hourKey ResponsibilitiesProvide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and continence care, while honoring resident preferences, privacy, and dignity.Support residents with mobility, ambulation, positioning, and transfers, including the safe use of walkers, wheelchairs, gait belts, and approved lifting techniques.Assist with mealtime service, including meal delivery, set-up, cueing, and feeding as permitted, ensuring a gracious and enjoyable dining experience.Respond promptly and professionally to call systems, alerts, and resident requests to ensure safety, comfort, and peace of mind.Observe, document, and immediately report any changes in residents' physical condition, cognitive status, or emotional wellbeing to appropriate licensed or supervisory staff, in compliance with Title 22 reporting requirements.Provide light housekeeping services related to resident care, such as laundry, bed making, and tidying living spaces, to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.Encourage residents, as appropriate, to participate in maintaining their personal living spaces to support independence and safety.Offer warm companionship, engaging residents in conversation, recreational programming, and social activities that enrich daily life.Promote participation in community life and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere.Adhere to all community policies, infection control practices, resident rights, and confidentiality standards.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications & RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Prior caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, or a related setting preferred; training provided for qualified candidates.Ability to safely use mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and basic household appliances.Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire, as required by Title 22).Basic computer skills, including email and electronic documentation.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented, compassionate, and team-focused approach.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with all regulatory requirements.Benefit OfferingsMedical (PPO and HSA), dental, and vision insurance options (fulltime only)Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) – (fulltime only)Life insurance (fulltime only)401(k) plan with safe harbor employer matchPaid vacation and sick time for hourly team members; PTO plan for exempt team membersHourly staff members receive paid time off for their anniversary and birthdayPaid holidaysPaid bereavementPaid jury dutyComplimentary meals for day-shift property employees from our award-winning dining programsOpportunities for career advancement and professional growthExtensive employer provided training for staff members at all levelsEqual Employment Opportunity StatementGSL is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions based on merit.
