We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Azure Cloud and .NET technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, cloud computing, and leadership. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications, as well as leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of cloud-based applications using .NET technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and support.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.5+ years of experience designing and developing complex applicationsExperience in C#, .NET, API development, and SQLExperience with cloud-first architectures and related Azure services, e.g. Container Apps, API Management / App Gateway, Key Vault, App Services, Logic Apps, SQL MIFamiliarity with modern cloud-native patterns principles, e.g. Twelve-Factor Apps, Service Oriented Architectures / microservices / REST, DevOps, Continuous Deployment, and Site Reliability EngineeringUnderstanding of Infrastructure-as-Code patterns and related technologies e.g. Bicep, ARM, TerraformExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Experience acting as a technical leader and mentor to other software engineers or developers.Experience working on agile teams and release trains, and knowledge of SAFe, is preferredStrong communication and leadership skills.Experience with Angular is a plusProperty Casualty Insurance experience is a plusTotal RewardsSelective Insurance offers a total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary, incentive plan eligibility at all levels, and a wide array of benefits designed to help you and your family stay healthy, achieve your financial goals, and balance the demands of your work and personal life.
