Product Marketing Specialist

Responsible for supporting the lifecycle of products, including launch coordination and ongoing product management. Conducts market and competitive research. Supports the planning and execution of company tradeshows.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing lifecycle activities for assigned new and existing products.
• Responsible to research and monitor competitor products, market trends, and client feedback and bring forward recommendations.
• Responsible for preparing and presenting information on assigned new product ideas to the new products committee.
• Gather market intelligence on potential new items and competitors' items.
• Main point of contact for new product questions across JDS.
• Coordinate new product launches across departments to ensure products, systems, marketing materials, and internal teams are prepared for launch.
• Prepare, analyze and distribute reports on new products as requested.
• Monitor new product arrival dates and communicate timeline changes to appropriate departments.
• Review product-related marketing materials for accuracy and consistency.
• Responsible for coordinating tradeshow booth setup, packing, shipping preparation, unpacking, and post-show organization.
• Responsible to package, organize, replenish, and maintain tradeshow giveaways and promotional materials.
• Responsible for coordinating booth mock-ups to ensure displays accurately represent products, branding, and show objectives.
• Responsible for coordinating with internal teams to ensure required products, samples, literature, displays, and promotional materials are prepared and available for each show.
• Attend required tradeshows and provide onsite support to help ensure successful event execution.
• Compile post-event feedback, results, and key learnings into a strategic tradeshow report to help evaluate event effectiveness and improve future tradeshow planning and execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Continual lifting, grasping, and using force with hands.
• Must be able to move from stationary position to bending, lifting, squatting and reaching positions on a continual basis. Must be able to twist and turn on a continual basis.
• This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to air travel for business purposes.
• Required to attend a minimum of 4 tradeshows per year.
• Must be able to use computer keyboard and company software programs.
• Must be able to use a computer, phone, and copier.
• Monday through Friday. Between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Additional and varied hours as needed.
• This position is office based but requires some work in the warehouse setting to prepare the shows and some work in the Fabrication area as well.

• Bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or related field
• Experience with Microsoft office products, mainframe products, and ASANA preferred.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience at JDS Industries a plus.
