Step into a contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant high school setting near Andover, KS. In this part-time maternity leave coverage, you'll provide essential speech and language services to a diverse caseload, making a positive impact during a key transition period. This position runs from early October through late December, with the option to begin 1-2 weeks before the specified start date to shadow the current SLP and ensure a smooth handoff.

As the school SLP, you’ll work three days a week—Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday—completing roughly 20 hours, though your weekly total may vary depending on how efficiently you can manage your responsibilities. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create individualized interventions and consultative support for approximately 46 students, balancing consult (1,085 hours) and direct service (750 hours) needs.

Qualifications:

• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Experience providing speech and language services in educational settings
• Able to design and implement IEP-driven therapy and consultation
• Skilled in balancing a dynamic caseload efficiently
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• References available for the interview process

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff and families
