This is an excellent opportunity for a strong litigator who enjoys handling complex matters and wants to work with a firm representing both local and national clients.The position offers a hybrid work schedule with 2 days per week in the office.The OpportunityYou will have the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse litigation caseload while working on sophisticated matters involving a variety of industries and liability issues. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing cases independently and has strong deposition, motion practice, research, and writing experience.ResponsibilitiesManage litigation matters from inception through resolutionRepresent local and national clients throughout CaliforniaDevelop case strategy and independently manage assigned caseloadsTake and defend plaintiff and expert depositionsPrepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trialDraft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documentsAnalyze discovery and develop appropriate litigation strategiesConduct detailed legal research and provide strategic legal analysisParticipate in negotiations, mediations, settlement discussions, and court proceedingsAssist with trial preparation and provide courtroom supportPrepare and electronically file court documents and serve opposing counselMaintain organized case files and accurate time recordsStay current on relevant legal and industry developmentsWork closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve client objectivesIdeal Candidate3+ years of litigation experience in one or more of the following areas: General Liability, Premises Liability, Product Liability, Transportation, AviationJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive California Bar license and in good standingStrong deposition and motion practice experienceExperience taking lead on plaintiff and/or expert depositionsExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple matters and competing deadlinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative teamDemonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategiesWhy Consider This Opportunity?This is a chance to join an established litigation practice where you can work on challenging cases, take meaningful ownership of your matters, and continue developing your career within a respected California firm.Compensation will be commensurate with experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.If you're considering a career move and would like to learn more, reach out to me directly.
