Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:
- We need someone with prior experience in a comparable role, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and capabilities to handle the duties described.
- Relevant education and/or training is considered an advantage.
- Strong routing troubleshooting expertise.
- Hands-on experience with BGP.
- Working knowledge of route propagation and asymmetric routing.
- Familiarity with route tables and effective routes.
- Experience analyzing network failover behavior.
- Solid background in Azure networking.
- Experience with VNet peering.
- Experience with Azure Firewall.
- Familiarity with NSGs and UDRs.
- Experience with load balancers.
- Experience with private endpoints and private DNS.
- Exposure to Azure Application Gateway and Azure API Management.
- Strong DNS troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Azure Private DNS.
- Knowledge of conditional forwarding and split-horizon DNS.
- Experience analyzing DNS resolution.
- Familiarity with Bind.
- VPN troubleshooting experience, including site-to-site VPN and IPSec.
- Experience supporting Azure-to-AWS connectivity.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot existing Terraform code.
- Nice-to-have experience with FortiGate.
- Nice-to-have experience with AKS networking.
- Nice-to-have experience with Linux networking.
- Nice-to-have experience with HA/DR validation and failover testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues across Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
- Investigate routing, VPN, DNS, firewall, and connectivity problems affecting business-critical applications.
- Support incident response activities and collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to restore services.
- Analyze route propagation, effective routes, asymmetric routing, and network failover scenarios.
- Validate high-availability, disaster recovery, and resiliency setups through testing and analysis.
- Support connectivity between Azure, on-premises environments, and AWS.
- Review and troubleshoot existing Terraform configurations tied to network deployments.
- Recommend improvements that strengthen reliability, availability, and operational performance in cloud networking environments.

We are seeking a Senior Azure Network Engineer in NYC to support and optimize complex Azure and hybrid cloud networking environments. This is a hands-on role focused on troubleshooting connectivity, routing, and DNS challenges, supporting incident response, and validating resiliency and failover capabilities. We are not looking for a network architecture redesign; instead, we need someone who can quickly identify root causes, restore stability, and help maintain mission-critical cloud infrastructure.
