Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Rochester, NY

Pay Range: $24/hr

Shift: Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday, 2nd shift (1pm-10pm). The first month will be day shift, Monday-Friday.

What's the Job?

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment using manuals, schematics, blueprints, and other relevant documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, making necessary corrections to restore equipment to optimal condition in a cost-effective and timely manner.
• Calibrate and adjust machine tools and equipment to ensure precision and efficiency.
• Modify machines and building infrastructure for specialized functions as needed.
• Perform minor building maintenance tasks, including plumbing and electrical work, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment following 5S principles.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work 1st shift for one month of training
• At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in using torque wrenches, basic tools, impact tools, measuring tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters.
• Ability to read blueprints, hydraulics diagrams, and electrical diagrams; knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
