About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Ventilator care experience - EPIC charting experience - Cardiac monitoring experience Description: Position available for a Registered Nurse in a general medicine step-down unit. Looking for candidates with ventilator care experience. The position requires the ability to manage patients with a variety of diagnoses, including chronic respiratory failure and sepsis. Candidates must have experience with telemetry and understanding dysrhythmias. Critical responsibilities include medication administration, rapid response activation, and isolation precautions. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient care. The shift is four 12-hour daytime shifts. Candidates may need to float within their skillset as needed. Additional requirements include working one holiday during the contract. Weekend shifts may cover every other weekend or six shifts in a six-week scheduling block. Patient ratio typically aims for 1:4 but may require current adaptability. Candidates must demonstrate competency in phlebotomy, IV therapy, and blood product administration. Previous charge experience is preferred, and candidates should be comfortable managing a variable patient load. Candidates must comply with all facility policies, including vaccination requirements. Previous travel experience is preferred, but first-time travelers may be considered.
