About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required in PCU, DOU, IMC, and step-down settings. Proficient in cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with administration of cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, and Lasix without titration. Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care. Competent in chest tubes, tracheostomy care, PICC line management, and medication administration. Respiratory skills including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, CPAP, BiPAP, and non-invasive airway management. License: Active state nursing license required. Submissions accepted with a single-state license from a non-compact state. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Epic charting experience required. Ability to work one holiday per 13-week contract. Willingness to float within skill set. Ability to adhere to weekend shift requirements. Description: We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse for a progressive care unit. The shift will be nights, working three 12-hour shifts per week. The position requires competency in telemetry, patient care navigation, and acute medical management. Nurses will generally care for a 5:1 patient ratio, with a goal ratio of 4:1. Telemetry is primarily remote with monitoring equipment available on the unit. Tele-sitting will be used to enhance patient care support. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills and the capacity to respond promptly to emergencies. All requests for time off must be submitted up front with the application. This role involves a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. Support from interdisciplinary teams will be available, including physical therapy and social services.
