We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team in Orange, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment in an industrial, construction, recycling, aggregate, or material handling environment. This position requires someone who takes pride in operating equipment safely, maintaining productivity, and working as part of a team. Operators will be responsible for moving, loading, sorting, stockpiling, and transporting materials while ensuring equipment is properly maintained and all safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, backhoes, and other equipment as assigned.
• Load, move, stockpile, and transport materials efficiently.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns immediately.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and routine equipment cleaning.
• Follow all OSHA, company, and job site safety policies.
• Work safely around other equipment, trucks, and personnel.
• Maintain production goals while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Assist with general labor duties when equipment is not in operation.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of equipment safety and operating procedures.
• Ability to recognize mechanical issues and perform daily inspections.
• Comfortable working in an industrial or construction environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• TWIC Card is a plus but not required.
• OSHA certifications are a plus.
