Technology Support Specialist

The Lodi Board of Education is seeking a Technology Support Specialist for Lincoln School, effective July 1, 2026. The ideal candidate will have a four-year college degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent job experience. They should have working knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Chrome OS, and Chromebooks. Linux experience is a plus. The candidate must understand Windows networking, Apple/iPad equipment, file servers, print servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc. They should be able to repair computer/electronic equipment using tools, demonstrate sound decision making, and communicate effectively with students, teachers, administrators, and vendors. Attention to detail and the ability to learn new technology in a rapidly moving environment are essential. Responsibilities include handling support calls and emails, maintaining student Chromebooks, installing software updates, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, researching technology problems, assisting in the planning and maintenance of IT infrastructure, and serving as a resource to staff. The position requires a well-developed sense of strategy and timing, skill in patience and listening, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift equipment. Salary: $50,000.
