What You'll Do

• Provide specialized neonatal care for infants in a Level III NICU, including extremely premature neonates (<24-28 weeks gestation).
• Manage respiratory therapies, ventilator settings, and adjustments (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP).
• Administer medications via IV, including vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids using Pyxis systems.
• Perform and assist with procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, and interventions for neonatal abstinence syndrome.
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC system.
• Use SBAR communication to effectively coordinate with healthcare teams and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, NP, pharmacy, respiratory, and support staff.
• Maintain infection control standards and manage IV lines, including umbilical artery and vein catheters.

What You Need

• Valid Ohio RN license or eligibility
• BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
• Minimum of 1 year NICU Level III/IV experience
• Proficiency in respiratory management and neonatal medication administration
• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Prior experience at Nationwide Children's Hospital or similar facility

About the Assignment

This assignment involves providing expert care for neonates with respiratory distress, medication needs, and complex interventions in a well-equipped Level III NICU. You'll support critically ill infants with conditions requiring surgical or cardiac interventions, working alongside a dedicated team in a facility known for excellence in neonatal care.
