Sales Associate - Lawn & Garden (Full-Time) - Pontiac, IL

The Sales Associate - Lawn & Garden is responsible to assist customers in our lawn & garden department. The primary function of the Sales Associate is to provide excellent customer service. This may include greeting customers, cashier responsibilities, answering product related questions, and other duties as assigned by manager. Experience with and/or strong knowledge of gardening/live goods in a retail setting is preferred. Ability to work a rotating schedule including days, evenings, and a rotating weekend/holiday schedule is required.

Temporary Full-Time or Part-Time hours may be available.
Hourly Pay Range: $16.00-$17.00 Depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

1. Greet customers as they shop in the retail store/greenhouse, assisting with customer service questions.


2. Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.


3. Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.


4. Assist in receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.


5. Responsible for assisting in cycle counts.


6. Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.


7. Handle customer transactions utilizing KCX cash register system.


8. Responsible for accurate cash handling.


9. Responsible for handling customer returns.

1. High School Diploma or GED preferred
