Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with OB and OR experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in an OB Scrub Tech role requiring float coverage between OB and OR.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital setting in an OB Scrub Tech unit (Obstetrics),
• Position requires floating between OB and OR departments,
• Day shift hours: 0645-1515, Monday through Friday,
• 8-hour shifts with a first-to-float designation between OB and OR,
• 13-week contract assignment,
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR,
• 12-hour orientation included,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required,
• Both OB (Obstetrics) and OR experience are required,
• BLS certification required; active and non-pending at time of consideration,
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted,
• Driver's license required for consideration,
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered,

Additional Information

• A manager interview is required for this position,
• Facility-wide orientation for this CommonSpirit Sacramento region facility takes place in Sacramento, not at the local facility location,
• Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's); holiday time off will be considered but is not guaranteed,
