Join an established team of 5 surgeons and 10 APPs Call structure: 1/8 weekend call requirement with call pay Practice setting: mix of both inpatient and outpatient Employed position within a nonprofit health system Responsibilities: Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. Obtain patient history and performs assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures. Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions. Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred. Work Experience: 1 year of experience preferred. What additional preferences you'll need Acute Care Certification preferred and RNFA required for all NP applicants.
