Special Education Teacher (SPED) – Auburn, Michigan

Sunbelt Staffing is hiring dedicated Special Education Teachers (SPED) for school-based opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year. Job Details

Position: Special Education Teacher (SPED)
Openings: 2
School District: Bay Arenac ISD
Location: Auburn, MI
Start Date: August 18, 2026
End Date: June 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week
School Assignment: 1 campus

Caseload & Responsibilities

Location: Auburn, MI
Primarily serving 6th-grade students
Caseload of approximately 6 students
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Provide specialized instruction based on student needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications

Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License required
Must meet all Michigan state requirements for school-based employment
Fingerprinting and all district onboarding requirements must be completed prior to the start date
