Picture your day at Mountain Media Center — a 325,000 sq. ft. broadcast and data center campus powering live production, master control, and always‑on technology operations. You start by reviewing overnight trends on the BMS, walk the raised floors to confirm airflow targets, and tune CRAC/CRAH setpoints to keep humidity and temperature perfectly steady. A midday preventative maintenance window has you swapping filters, checking belts and bearings, and logging refrigerant levels. Later, you coordinate with a contractor on a cooling tower repair before closing the day with a quick schematic review to prep for a weekend on‑call rotation.

Role Overview

We’re seeking an experienced HVAC professional with commercial/industrial depth — ideally in data centers, critical facilities, or broadcast environments — to safeguard 24/7 mission‑critical cooling and mechanical systems.

Compensation

• $62,000–$120,000 per hour DOE

What You’ll Tackle Critical Cooling & Mechanical Systems

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair CRAC/CRAH units (Stulz, Liebert), RTUs, VAV boxes, VFDs, cooling towers, boilers, and related plant equipment.
• Optimize raised‑floor and underfloor airflow management across data hall environments.

Building Automation & Monitoring

• Monitor and respond to BMS alarms; adjust setpoints and sequences as needed.
• Rapidly correct airflow, humidity, and temperature deviations to protect uptime.

Preventive Maintenance

• Complete scheduled PMs: filter changes, coil cleaning, belt/bearing replacement, refrigerant checks, and detailed equipment inspections.
• Accurately document work orders, logs, and compliance records.

Emergency & On‑Call

• Participate in rotating on‑call coverage (nights/weekends) for critical facility events.

Diagnostics & Electrical Troubleshooting

• Use multimeters, gauges, and diagnostic tools to isolate mechanical/electrical faults.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to drive resolution.

Vendor & Cross‑Trade Collaboration

• Coordinate with mechanical contractors on major repairs and capital projects.
• Assist with light plumbing (fixtures, water heaters, minor leaks) as needed.

Safety

• Follow lockout/tagout, confined‑space, fall‑protection, and all site safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC or refrigeration experience (including data center/critical‑environment strongly preferred)
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
• Hands‑on background with CRAC/CRAH, RTUs, VFDs, cooling towers, and BMS platforms
• Strong electrical troubleshooting: multimeters, continuity checks, voltage‑drop testing
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications
• Comfort with after‑hours emergencies and rotating on‑call coverage
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Plumbing skills (fixtures, water heaters, basic pipefitting)
• NATE certification
• Experience in broadcast facilities, data centers, or other 24/7 operations
• Trade school certificate or HVAC/R apprenticeship
• Familiarity with fire/life‑safety systems and HVAC integration

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods
• Lift up to 100 lbs
• Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and raised‑floor data centers
