Job Summary

Ultrasonographer, General, Indianapolis, Indiana. The position performs general, obstetric and vascular ultrasound examinations in a patient-centered setting. The role requires independent judgment, adaptability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills while supporting a variety of diagnostic procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift; 8-hour shifts; minimum 40 hours per week. Monday and Tuesday shifts are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday shifts are scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Backup call is required.
• Required Qualifications: Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification; at least 1 year of experience in general, obstetric and vascular ultrasound.
• Preferred Qualifications: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in abdomen or obstetrics.
• Responsibilities: Perform abdominal, soft-tissue head and neck, thyroid, pelvic, transvaginal, testicular, renal, liver, vascular, carotid, pediatric, hemodialysis and obstetric ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies, venous duplex examinations, arterial Doppler examinations, biophysical profiles and umbilical Doppler studies.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Assignment Dates: 12/14/202603/15/2027.
• Additional Information: Charcoal gray scrub tops and bottoms are required, along with non-porous shoes, solid-colored undershirts in black, white or gray, and a gray scrub jacket.
