Trident Consulting is seeking a " Maintenance Technician (Gas & Chemical)” for one of our client in " Austin, TX” A global leader in business and technology services.
Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Gas & Chemical)
Location: Austin, TX
Type of Hire: Contract
Pay rate: $21/hr. on W2
Duration: 12+ Months
About the Role
Technicians will support gas and chemical distribution systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment used to produce chips for smartphones, LEDs, and flat-screen TVs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe operation of gas and chemical distribution systems
- Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
- Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of equipment
- Computer operations to support production and customer needs
- Support quality and safety systems
- Follow all PPE and hazardous communication requirements
Physical Requirements
- Walk up to 5–6 miles per day
- Lift up to 40 lbs
- Climb tanker trucks using fall protection when required
- Wear respirators and full PPE when handling chemicals
- Bending, kneeling, and overhead reaching required
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and speak English
Preferred Qualifications
- Maintenance, manufacturing, or equipment technician experience
- Chemical/gas distribution system experience
- Military background or technical training
- Strong communication and MS Office skills
Additional Information
- Approximately 3 weeks of paid on-the-job training
- Opportunity for permanent conversion based on performance and business needs
