Pharmacy Tech | Converse, Texas

A skilled Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in Converse, TX, working in a Long Term Care setting. This contract role requires a valid Texas Pharmacy Technician license and offers a consistent afternoon to evening shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, starting March 2, 2026.


Responsibilities include preparing medications accurately by reading prescriptions, calculating dosages, and labeling medicines for pharmacist dispensing. You will also dispense medications, process insurance claims, maintain patient profiles, and manage prescription filing to ensure smooth pharmacy operations. Managing inventory through stock tracking, order entry, and supply ordering is a critical part of the role, supporting an efficient and well-stocked pharmacy.


Additional duties include supporting daily workflow tasks such as opening and closing procedures, providing timely services, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. You will communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members, fostering medication awareness and excellent customer service. Experience with specialized tasks like operating dispensing machines, supporting IV room processes, or compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations is a plus.


Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License required
• Previous pharmacy technician experience, ideally in Long Term Care
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within workflow procedures
• Excellent communication skills with patients and clinical staff
• Familiarity with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
• Experience with automated dispensing systems or compounding desirable
