Hospital Phlebotomist - 3rd shift

Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. LabCorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:30pm - 7:00am and rotating Saturdays Job Responsibilities: * Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups * Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. * Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner * Process billing information and collect payments as necessary * Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis * Maintain patient and specimen information logs * Provide superior customer service to all patients * Administrative and clerical duties as necessary * Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED or equivalent * Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications: * 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience * 1 year or more of experience in a medical lab setting Additional Job Standards: * In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency * Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service * Strong communication skills; both written and verbal * Ability to work independently or in a team environment * Comfortable working under minimal supervision * Reliable transportation * Flexibility to work overtime * Able to pass a standardized color blindness test At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
