Aviation Sheet Metal Mechanic

Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft structural components in a Part 145/MRO environment. This role focuses on sheet metal repairs, structural work, and landing gear assemblies while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble aircraft structural components
• Perform sheet metal work including patching, riveting, and fabrication
• Support landing gear disassembly, inspection, repair, and rebuild
• Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Install and replace defective or worn components
• Document all maintenance, inspections, and repairs accurately

Essential Skills

• 3+ years (Level II: 35 years / Level III: 5+ years) in aviation sheet metal/structures
• MRO or Part 145 repair station experience required
• Strong sheet metal repair and structural fabrication skills

Pay

• $31/hr-$44/hr

Shift

• MondayFriday, first-shift schedule (~7 AM4:30 PM), with overtime as needed.

Work Environment

Air-conditioned MRO/back shop setting (not line maintenance). Hands-on role working with aircraft structures, sheet metal, and landing gear using standard tools and technical documentation. Strong focus on safety, compliance, and teamwork in a professional shop environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $91520.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
