Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois (required)
- Prior experience with school-aged children, preferably in an elementary setting
- Understanding and application of therapeutic interventions within an educational framework
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with short-term, semester-based assignments
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted physical therapy services to students based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document and report on student progress in accordance with school and state requirements
- Create and implement therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Consult and coordinate with educators and families to foster student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
