Join our team as a Production Coordinator for a large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. This first-shift position operates from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with overtime available once trained. The role involves coordination of production schedules, communication with customers, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the production schedule meets customer due dates.
• Assist in processing production orders.
• Perform quality assurance activities throughout all stages of production.
• Receive and inspect customer products for processing, including greeting customers at the service counter and receiving shipments.
• Verify purchase orders, part numbers, quantities, and perform visual inspections.
• Stage receiving shelves and maintain part identification and traceability.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and maintained according to internal procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and workflow of the receiving area.
• Seek opportunities to learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.

Essential Skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Professional communication skills, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in shipping and receiving, packaging, material handling, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in data entry, inspection, and production coordination.
• Ability to type and willingness to learn production planning.

The facility comprises six buildings, each dedicated to different parts of the metal finishing process. The work environment is organized, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and efficient workflow.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
