About the Position

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented  Processing Room Associate (Cutter)to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting, portioning, packaging, labeling, and handling meat products while following company standards and all applicable food safety regulations.

The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a refrigerated production facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely cut and portion meat products according to weight, customer specifications, and company standards.
• Identify different meat cuts and demonstrate a basic understanding of muscle anatomy and product specifications.
• Follow all food safety, food defense, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow production procedures and meet established productivity and production deadlines.
• Accurately package and label finished products.
• Verify production orders for accuracy.
• Complete production records, logs, and other required documentation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe work area.
• Inspect equipment before and during use and report any issues promptly.
• Properly handle, store, and secure meat products and by-products.
• Attend required safety meetings, training, and company programs.
• Support the Processing Supervisor, Sales Manager, and/or Production Manager as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous meat processing, food production, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• HACCP certification is a plus.
• Strong reliability, attendance, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused during repetitive tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and regulatory personnel.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions, procedures, and production documentation.
• Ability to identify problems and apply practical solutions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
• Professional and ethical approach to work.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but are not required.
• Valid California Class C driver's license if required for assigned job duties.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
• Bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements involving the hands, arms, and upper body.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds , with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work for extended periods in a refrigerated environment maintained at approximately 28–33&degree;F .
• Safely handle knives, hooks, sharpening tools, band saws, and other processing equipment.
• Maintain sufficient vision, focus, and coordination to safely perform job duties.
• Communicate effectively in a production environment.

Work Environment

• Full-time position with a typical schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Five 8-hour shifts.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Work is performed in a refrigerated production facility at approximately 28–33&degree;F.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
• Drug- and alcohol-free workplace in accordance with company policy.
